Track My Visibility takes you from questions to insights in a few simple steps.
To begin tracking AI visibility, you’ll first need to add your website to the tool. This step ensures that all citations and mentions are tied directly to your brand’s domain.
Type in your primary website domain (e.g., example.com). This tells the system which property to monitor for AI visibility.
If your brand uses multiple domains or subdomains (e.g., brand.com, shop.brand.com), you can add them here, separated by commas. This ensures that every possible mention or citation is captured across variations of your site.
Choose which AI models you’d like to run visibility checks against: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity. You can select one, several, or all four, depending on your tracking requirements.
To start tracking, you first need to define the questions you want AI engines to answer. Prompts are the foundation of visibility testing, and with Track My Visibility, you get three flexible options to create them based on your goals.
When you want to test a specific search, you can create a single query. Just type your question (e.g., “Who are the best Amazon PPC experts for private label brands?”) and run it to the tool. This is the simplest way to check if your brand gets mentioned or cited in AI answers using our LLM visibility tool.
Generate a full set of prompts instead of writing them one by one. Choose to create 20, 30, or 50 queries at once and even add persona context for your user personas (like “a startup founder” or “a parent shopping online”). This way, you get realistic prompts that match how real users would search through AI tools.
If you already have a list of prompts, you can upload them in bulk instead of entering them one by one. Paste your queries as plain text or CSV and import them in seconds. This makes it easy to test dozens of prompts at once and scale your LLM visibility tracking.
Select your queries and hit Run. This pushes your prompts to all four AI models at once with our AI rank tracker’s advanced capabilities, so you don't need to test each platform separately.
It can take a few minutes for results to fully populate across the models. During this time, Track My Visibility collects, verifies, and stores responses so you get reliable visibility data.
After your prompts have been processed, you can dive into the insights. This step reveals how AI engines actually cite your brand (or competitors) and which URLs are ranking in their responses through comprehensive AI search visibility analysis.
To see exactly if your brand appeared across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini, you can look for a green highlight next to the AI model name and instantly figure out if you were mentioned or cited for that certain prompt by that AI model.
To check ranking positions and URLs, open the “View Responses” and see exactly how your brand appeared across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini. Hover over the added sources and footnotes to see the URL referenced by that AI model. This lets you confirm which of your pages are being cited, in what position, and whether competitors are ranking above you.
Alongside your own URLs, you’ll also see which competitor domains are being cited or mentioned. This gives you a head-to-head view of visibility gaps and opportunities.
Check how many times each page was cited by AI models. Pages with higher citation counts are already trusted sources, while those with fewer (or zero) citations highlight gaps that require fixing.
Each page gets an AI-Readiness score that reflects how optimized it is to be referenced by AI engines. Here, higher AI ranking score mean stronger signals and a greater likelihood of being cited or mentioned by AI platforms.
By monitoring all key URLs in one dashboard, you can easily compare how different parts of your site perform, from high-traffic service pages to blog posts with long-tail keywords.
Each recommendation comes with a type of action (e.g., Improve Meta, Add Schema, Create Comparison Page) so you know exactly where you need to improve for that certain URL.
Recommendations are labeled by severity (low, medium, high) and effort level (low, medium, high). This makes it easy to decide what should be fixed first based on impact versus effort.
Every suggestion includes a short explanation of why it matters, for example, missing meta descriptions, unclear H1s, or opportunities to build comparison pages when competitors dominate certain queries.
Once you make improvements on your site, hit “Refresh” to update results or “Re-score”. It will instantly help check if the changes boosted your AI-readiness and visibility.
Check how many AI responses feature your brand. If visibility is low, it means your prompts or content needs improvement. This topline metric helps you measure progress over time and instantly know if your visibility strategy is working.
Compare your presence across top AI platforms, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity. You’ll see which platforms cite your brand most, which ones are lagging, and where competitors dominate. This helps you focus optimization efforts on the AI models that matter most for your audience.
See which competitor domains show up most often. Without any manual setup, the dashboard reveals competitor domains that are being cited for the same queries as you. This competitive intelligence shows domains that AI models trust in your category through AI citation tracking and highlights where you need to catch up.
Here, you can find your strongest and weakest URLs. You can quickly identify your best-performing URLs, the ones AI consistently cites. You’ll see citation counts, readiness scores, and the last time each page was picked up by a model. This helps you maintain on proven pages while spotting the ones that need improvement.
Track progress over time with refreshes and re-scores. Each time you optimize content, the dashboard lets you validate whether visibility improved, citations increased, or competitors lost ground. This validates if changes worked; if you see the visibility score going up through AI brand visibility insights, it means your fixes are on target.

Quick answers to the most common questions about AI Search and Track My Visibility.
Set up your account with your brand domain, then create 3–5 prompts that reflect real customer questions. Within a few hours, your dashboard will show visibility insights across AI platforms.
Yes. You can filter results by AI model (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini) and country with policy settings. This allows you to compare visibility across customer journeys and markets.
Prompts are executed once every 24 hours across your selected AI models. This daily cadence ensures reliable trend tracking, with a countdown to the next run visible in your dashboard.
Brand mentions are when an AI answer directly names your brand. AI citations are when your website or content is used, even if not named, to generate an answer. Tracking both helps you understand whether AI trusts your content and recognizes your brand.
Track My Visibility identifies when your content is “used” (informing an AI response) and when it is “cited” (your URL is explicitly mentioned). You can view usage at the domain or URL level, along with citation frequency.
You can export reports or connect Track My Visibility data to dashboards. This makes it easy to share visibility trends, competitor benchmarking, and AI citation reports with your team or clients.
