People don’t only search on Google anymore. A lot of them ask ChatGPT instead, especially when they want a recommendation. Ask it which CRM to use and it names products, and that name usually gets looked at first. ChatGPT rank tracking is keeping an eye on that: whether your brand comes up when someone asks about your space, how often, and who gets named when you don’t.
The catch is you can’t check this by hand. ChatGPT doesn’t answer the same way twice, and it doesn’t always search the web before answering, so the same brand can show up for one phrasing and vanish for another. A tracker asks the same questions repeatedly and keeps the history, so you see a pattern instead of one answer on one afternoon.
Type it the way people actually say it. "Notion," not "Notion Labs Inc."
A couple of named competitors gives you a direct comparison. Skip it and we'll usually surface them anyway, based on who ChatGPT names instead of you.
The real questions your customers would ask, tested directly, not simulated or guessed at.
